“A gas smell from my 37 year old VW brought me to Vintage Auto. These folks are not just part changer but REAL Mechanics. Like the ones I grew up knowing and my Father always talked about. They used a smoke machine to detect where the leak was. They had to drop the rear axle, remove the gas from the tank replace the tank with a new one. They reused the heat shield after some repair. (no longer available) Install a new fuel pump, and accumulator reusing the fuel line connections after using their Mechanic skills to refurbish them. I could not be happier.

“I live less than a mile from Vintage Auto, I originally contacted them to do a secondary diagnostic on a car i just bought. My intake manifold was bad, Kelly greeted me with a smile and was so welcoming and friendly. After the diagnostic, David gave me the pricing for it to be fixed which was roughly between 4-500, David (the owner mind you) advised me to go to the dealership to have it fixed bc it was still under warranty. He allowed his business to go without a sale to do what was in my best interest. Recently, my beautiful 2012 VW EOS would not start. I called the dealership, they prices $750. After i called Vintage, they took my call with excitement and they remebered me and the original issue i came in for. They called me when my baby was delivered, when they finished running the diagnostic to tell me what was wrong and when it would be ready. I've heard and experienced many many many horror stories about mechanics breaking things to get more services done, upselling, and being plain ol' dishonest. This is not that place. David and Kelly are true to their motto, "Doing whats best for the customer". They are trusted with my car anytime i have an issue. If u are in the South Carolina area i.e. Greenville, Taylors, Greer, Berea, or even Easley, this shop is worth the trip. They will do what is best for you, not what will make them the most money. They care about how they treat their customers and how they feel. They are a great company and people to do business with. They have my business 100%. You won't find many shops like this with Exceptional work, amazing customer service, and humans that want other humans to Live great, get the work they need done in a speedy time...Please seek them out. Once he started on my TTRS, that's all he worked on until it was completed. Replaced the bevel box after a one-in-a-million failure (Audi admitted they've never heard of that failing before...), as well as installed an APR downpipe and stage 2 tune, Wagner Evo 2 FMIC with integrated crash bar, front splitter, and he also takes care of two 900hp/1200hp R8's owned by a friend of mine. 🤟🏼👌🏼🙌🏼”

“As long as I have a VW I will be forever a customer and I have never even spent a dime in this place. Ben is so super nice and professional; while he is very knowledgeable and passionate, he took his time to explain the issue with my car and could have EASILY taken me for hundreds of dollars, he instead educated me on my warranty and asked me to take my car back to the dealership where they should cover it and they did.Its important to mention not even the dealership did that! Kim was also just as pleasant and just simply amazing from enter to exit! Never once did these folks make me feel like I couldn't understand what was happening with my car and just treated me like a customer; not a woman with no clue. I will vouch for the honesty and friendliness of this place and with everything going on with COVID, it's nice to feel like you can trust a company to do the right thing in these uncertain times.”

I'm from PA but go to school in Greenville. Twice when I was in a serious bind Vintage Auto came in clutch and did an incredible job.

One time when I was trying to leave for home last minute they put aside what they were working on to take my car in and fix it as quick as they could so i could get on the road. While they were fixing they did some free maintenance checks for me because they knew I was going on a long trip and wanted to make sure I was takin care of.

Just recently they did excellent work diagnosing the problem that was sending an engine code on my VW CC and did the work at a great discount because once again, they took the time to hear and understand the situation I was in. After fixing my engine they even replaced a sensor in my parking brake system for FREE just because that's the kind of shop they run.

Their quotes are more than fair, the mechanics are extremely friendly and their excellence excels both mechanically and relationally. Couldn't be more satisfied!”

“I've been here a few times, replacing my breaks/rotors, tire changes, and most recently a mirror replacement, and each time they have given timely fixes and the price was equal to or lower than what I was quoted anywhere else.

The most memorable one was for my tires where they quoted me a price for all 4 tires, I agreed to it and when they were doing the service the following week I got a phone call where they had reduced the price by over $100 as they had accidentally quoted the price for different tires. Good integrity on their part when they could've kept the higher price and I would've never complained.”

“Great and fast service! It's apparent that the owner and workers really cares about the work they do. I took my Jetta TDI in because it was leaking fuel by the injector pump. The seals needed replaced and they were able to get me in the same day. I got a call the next day that my car was done. When I picked it up one of the mechanics that worked on my car told me about how he checked my car again really quick before I picked it up and made a last minute adjustment to help it turn over faster. He was very friendly. The owner greeted me and made me welcome while I was there too. I will definitely bring my car back here and I will tell friends about it too.”

“I had a problem with the lower hose on my radiator not getting warm and no heat ins tide which I thought would be the water pump so I called the local VW dealer and Vintage, who quoted me about $300.00 less than the VW dealer, took it to Vintage who agreed that it was the water pump and completed the job the same day as advised. They took time to show me what had happened and showed the bad part to me when it was replaced. The also took the time to show me other things that I should be aware of that should be taken care of in the future. I would highly recommend them as I think they are honest and trustworthy, which is hard to find in a mechanic.”

“We dropped our GTI off on Wednesday and got it back that next Tuesday! There were so many issues we were having with it and they fixed everything we addressed with them. Other places will not work on a built engine or were booked out to the end of the month, but they took it in with no problem at all. My wife and I just moved here from East TN and we were looking for a mechanic for our 2001 Jetta.

Our first call was concerning some plugged up sunroof drainage cowls. Instead of charging me $20-50 for a simple procedure, Steve simply talked me through finding and fixing the drainage hoses inside the door hinge area.

(+1) Next, I needed some timing and general tune up service a couple months later. Steve went out of his way to help work with my schedule so that I could get a better idea of some possible tune up options.
